Label Your Uniform

We see a lot of waste in school with hundreds of unnamed items going into recycling every year. The initial outlay for clothing labels is significant, but you are guaranteed to save money (and the environment) by labelling everything your child brings in.

At Applegarth, we believe that a school uniform fosters a sense of identity, belonging and pride. We expect a high standard of appearance from all and our uniform provides parents with a practical  and cost effective means to do so. We encourage our children to take responsibility for their own appearance and to look clean, smart and tidy at all times. It is the responsibility of the parents to ensure their child is correctly dressed for school. Members of staff have responsibility for promoting the school’s Uniform Policy by reminding pupils about the rules relating to appropriate dress.

  • To set a high standard of presentation for children at school.
  • To make it clear to the whole school community the expectation of the uniform at Applegarth School.
  • To promote a sense of pride in the school thereby promoting positive behaviour and attitudes.
